Rare - Ancient Early Bronze Age Jar With A Shaped Neck
Rare ancient "Canaanite" Early Bronze Age burnished pottery wine jar with a shaped neck, two handles and a flat base

Dated from, 3500 - 2300 BC

Ceramic vessels effectively sweat, keeping insides much cooler than outside while losing liquid. This will basically ruin wine by losing liquid, creating some sort of awful vinegar liquid. Polishing the ceramic and applying combs are strategies to prevent it from sweating

Measurements: Height: 14 cm - Width: 13 cm

Condition: Handles and rim repaired as shown in the pictures otherwise intact

Found in Jericho, Israel
