Directly from the Holy Land, Roman- Samaritan terracotta oil lamp with unpierced discus with arches decorated all around the shoulders. Dated from, 200 - 300 AD Measurements: Length: 7.5 - Width: 5.5 cm Condition: Intact, not repaired and not restored Found in Samaria north of Jerusalem, Holy Land The Samaritans lamps were probably manufactured and distributed with the discus closed. This method insured that; according to the purity laws of the Samaritans, the lamps would never receive impurity.
