From Jerusalem, With it's exquisite detail and rich multi-hued patina, this is a beautiful large ancient Roman bronze coin "Follis" of Emperor Maximianus, radiate, draped &cuirassed bust right dated from, 286 - 305 A.D
Nicely mounted on a sterling silver hand made pendant Maximianus was a close friend of the emperor Diocletian. Realizing that the Empire was too large for one man to rule, Diocletian named Maximianus co-emperor in 286 A.D. and gave him the western half of the Empire.
